What to do in order to watch Free satellite TV

First of all, you'll need the following four things:

Dish, LNB,Receiver and Cable

List of things you will need:

A clear view of the southern sky

A dish antena (the bigger the better)

LNB

FTA (Free to air) Satelitte Receiver

To hit multiple satellites from one dish, add:

A dish-moving motor

Really helpfull stuff for installation:

A compass

A level

Cable

A portable TV

A signal strength meter

Four simple steps:

  1. Find a place for the dish. It has to have a clear view of the south, although the exact direction varies.
  2. Get your equipment. Choose what you want, see who sells it for a good price, and get it.
  3. Install. You can do it yourself with a few helpful tools, or you can pay someone else to do it for you.
  4. Find your channels: Use the FTA Scan Search on your Receiver and find all the channels you want.

Via satellite free tv

This past summer I met an emigrant, a US resident, that was here in Azores on vacation. He told me that he pays an x amount of money every month to watch the Portuguese RTP International channel. This, by the way, came as a shock to me because I know fully well that this particular channel, along with many others like it from all over the world, is free to watch and, therefore, you don't have to pay anything to watch them, not a cent.

Its true, all these thousands of free FTA (free to air) channels are free and can be found on the various satellites in the sky.

In order to watch the RTP International channel as well as all these other FTA channels from all over the world you will have to purchase a so called FTA Satellite Receiver. These receivers are relatively cheap and can be purchased in an electronics store or in many online virtual stores. In Portugal, for example, there are several stores online where you can get either a special kit or buy it separately. If you're buying it separately you will need to purchase the FTA Satellite Receiver, the dish antenna along with the LNB and wires and connectors.

The local prices for these receivers vary between 60 and 200 euros. But, on the other hand, if you live outside of Portugal you can either purchase in an electronics store near you or online. Therefore you wont have to pay a lot of money in order to have the free access to all the FTA channels.

Besides the receiver you will also need, as I have mentioned, a satellite dish antenna as well as the LNB. The antennas are available in various sizes and shapes and are fairly cheap.

Its also worth mentioning that the further the satellite is from you the bigger the dish will have to be in order to get all these free channels.

I live in the Azores and, right now, I get about 1000 free TV channels from all over the world. Many countries like France, China, Germany, Russia and India offer now news channels in English 24 hours a day. I am also able to get the Aljazeera International channel along with the BBC News and several others like these. They are all great news channels and broadcast 24 hours a day. Many of these show special documentaries and its all absolutely LEGAL AND FREE.

More information on this subject will be available soon.
